About Lily’s Florist
Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m the founder of Lily’s Florist.
I’m a studio based florist working mostly independently from my home in Peacehaven, East Sussex. I’m passionate about flowers and specialise in creating beautiful gift bouquets, funeral arrangements and wedding florals. I also run seasonal wreath making workshops.
My interest in floristry began in 2011 whilst on maternity leave. A brochure for a local college dropped on my doormat and keen to learn a new skill I enrolled on an ‘Introduction to professional floristry’ course.
From the very first lesson I was hooked! I spent the first couple of years honing my skills by creating designs for family and friends.
In 2013 I was privileged to be asked to create the wedding florals for a friend and it was at that moment I decided I wanted to make floristry a career.
So Lily’s Florist was officially born with the business named ‘Lily’s’ after my lovely daughter Lily.
For the first few years I ran Lily’s Florist on a part time basis as I had young children and a secure employed job. In 2019 I decided to take the plunge and focus on my floristry career full time. And here I am, 6 years later, flowering daily and doing what I absolutely LOVE.
I’m proud to say, I was recently awarded RUNNER UP in the category of BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE at the 2025 SEAHAVEN BUSINESS AWARDS.
